I was asked several times in the past few days if our church was doing anything for halloween. OF COURSE! We love kids. We love candy. What's more perfect than the two combined for a night of sheer crazy funness!?!  10.31.08. More details to follow...

I'm currently researching a theme so send your crazy cool ideas to shannah@trclife.com and please start bringing bags of candy (on sale this week at Fred Meyer for $1.88) to the table in the foyer. Mmmmmm...sugar....I'm thinking about a 5:1 ratio should be about right. 5 pounds of candy to each kid. Mmmmmmmm....sugar.....I like Snickers with almonds, milky way darks, oh wait...it's about the kids...

ATLANTA (AP) - The five women on the cover are dressed in black
and smiling - not an uncommon strategy for selling magazines.
But these cover girls are women of the cloth, featured in Gospel
Today magazine's latest issue, which the Southern Baptist
Convention has pulled from its bookstores.
The group says women pastors go against their beliefs, according
to their interpretation of the New Testament. The magazine was
taken off stands in more than 100 Lifeway Christian Bookstores
across the country, including those in the metro Atlanta area.
Nationally, the Southern Baptists have adopted statements
discouraging women from being pastors, but the churches are
independent and a few have selected women to lead their
congregations.

Jayce is downstairs unloading the dishwasher. I am putting away groceries. Jayce asked how much I spent and how much I saved. He is amazed as he looks over the receipt then says the sentence that resounds all over the world:

I haven't been shopping every week. Too Busy. Last weeks trip was cut short when I realized I had to be in Bellevue at 12noon and I was still at the grocery store at 11:19. None the less;

Spent $80.34   Saved $104.05

This week included a lot of lunch meat, cleaning supplies and goldfish crackers:
